THE BRIEF
Folia is an AI-powered content calendar built for indie creators who produce content across multiple platforms and lose hours every week to planning and scheduling. The brief was self-initiated. I wanted to explore what a conversion-first SaaS landing page looks like when the audience is technical enough to spot a template but human enough to respond to honesty. No agency polish. No stock photography. Just a page that makes the right person feel immediately seen. The single conversion goal: get a creator from landing to signing up for early access. One page. One action.

The Problem I was Solve
Most SaaS landing pages make the same mistake — they lead with the product. Features, screenshots, pricing. The person reading hasn't decided they have a problem worth solving yet. You're pitching before they're listening. Folia needed to lead with the pain. The three hours lost every Sunday planning next week's content. The half-finished content calendar in Notion that never gets used. The guilt of inconsistent posting when you know consistency is the whole game. If the visitor felt that pain in the first eight seconds, the rest of the page had a chance to convert.

Design Decisions
Color system: deep forest green (#3D6B4F) as the primary — unusual for an AI product, intentional. Every AI tool in 2024 uses the same blue-purple gradient. Forest green signals calm, focus, and sustainability. For a product about consistent content output, that's the right emotional register. Background: warm off-white (#FAFAF8) instead of pure white. Pure white reads clinical. Off-white reads like a page from a well-designed notebook — appropriate for a product built around writing and planning. Typography: Satoshi for display headings — geometric, confident, slightly editorial without being cold. Inter for body — maximum readability at small sizes, zero friction. Mode: light. Deliberately counter to the trend. The target audience spends all day in dark-mode tools. A light-mode landing page is a pattern interrupt — it stops the scroll because it looks different from everything else in their feed.

Results / Outcone
Folia is a concept project — no live product, no real conversion data. What it produced: → A reusable conversion framework for SaaS landing pages that I now apply to every custom build → A portfolio proof piece that speaks directly to SaaS founders — the primary ICP for Gridelk's custom work → A reference for the exact design decisions (color, type, section structure) that make a landing page feel premium without feeling cold Every client conversation about a SaaS site starts with Folia as the reference point.
